Kurdish festivals and upcoming excitement

Kurdishaspect.com - By Ara Alan

Atlanta Georgia’s Kurdish Community is buzzing with preparation and excitement for Kurdish Festival to begin on January 15 2010. Within few days guests will be arriving into the city. It has been noted that the hotel is already sold-out and more guests are still on their way arranging their last minute preparations.

Kurdish Youth Club members, their families and friends will be making a journey to Atlanta from different state and cities across United States. This is their first week back to school and first month in the new year of 2010. Marking this new beginning with a journey of Kurdayet y, to a festival that celebrates their 8000 years old Kurdish heritage.

Preparation of the festival has taken more than 6 month of volunteering from members and supporters of KYC.  Organizers and community members would like to thank all those speakers, singers, and musicians who have taken their time to volunteer to make Kurdish Festival a reality. We hope to see many more supporters like them to ensure establishment of a tradition of Kurdish Festivals in USA.

We wish all guests traveling a safe trip and memories of a life time during first Kurdish festival in Atlanta.
