North Kurdistan and the PKK issue

I write in response to M.Takman's email. He is obviously a reasonable Turkish man who sees no point in the continued violence.
I believe 100% in the originally stated aims of PKK but I think the organisation has lost sight of those aims and ended up blindly following a miguided path that leads to the coronation of Abdullah Ocellan. This coronation will never happen.
Just as the IRA realised it would never defeat the British army, would it be any disgrace for all of those PKK fighters in the Qandil Mountains to put down their weapons and return to their homes or to settle in Southern Kurdistan if they would have problems in the North of YOUR country? I know that Diyarbakir is Kurdistan and I have had arguments with Turks in Diyarbakir about it, I have had arguments with Turks in Ankara about it. I will always say that I have landed in Kurdistan when the aeroplane touches down in Diyarbakir (Amer to the people who know).
Even Ocelan's most recent statements are sounding like like he knows the answer is political not military.
As long as there are reasonable Turks and Kurds, there can be a dialogue. I prefer talking to bakers and shop keepers but it's the politicians who must come through. I'll even talk to those snakes if it will do any good. At the moment you have Erdogen who I believe to be a relatively honest politician who genuinely wants to improve the situation between Turks and Kurds. Behind him is the pressure of a bunch of generals and retired generals who are imperialist and racist. The PKK leadership must take into account the pressures upon Erdogen. Nobody ever gets everything they want from negotiation, but they get something of what they want. Apo seems to realise this, why doesn't the rest of the PKK
leadership.
9/11 was when the IRA came to the negotiating table because they didn't wish to be associated with what was the "new" terrorism. PKK has the same situation with TAK as M.Takman points out. That is a Turkish view and, as a Scottish writer for Kurdish Aspect magazine, I would welcome more Turkish views on this website because, unless Kurds and Turks are talking and exchanging views, there will be no way forward.
I know there are very many genuine people within PKK and I have always respected their bravery and sacrifice for Kurdistan. I just know the time is now right for talking not fighting. I pray this situation is resolved peacefully soon. Kurds are my people and Turks are my people, how can I be happy if there is conflict?
