Protest on the 20th Anniversary of Dr. Ghasssemlou's Terror by the Mullahs in Iran

PDKI - Public announcement:

20 years ago, on 13 July 1989, a legendary Kurdish leader and then the Secretary-general of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Ghassemlou and two of his associates were assassinated by the diplomat-terrorists of Islamic regime  in Austria while trying to find a peaceful solution to the Kurdish question in Iran.

In spite of credible evidence on the direct involvement of dispatched diplomat-terrorists of the Islamic regime in this tragedy, then the government of Austria sacrificed justice for her country’s economic and commercial interests and handed the diplomat-terrorists back to the mullahs.

Recently new evidences have surfaced on the Iranian regime’s involvement, above all Ahmadinejad’s role in the assassination which have been obtained from an arms smuggler.

We as Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan in the US are planning to demonstrate in front of the Austrian embassy in Washington to appeal to the Austrian authorities to reinvigorate the tragic case of Dr. Ghassemlou the eternal leader of our party.  We demand the Austrian authorities to respect international laws and the independency of the Austrian judiciary and bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice as in the Mykonous trial in Germany in 1997 where the Iranian government’s involvement in the Mykonous murder of 1992 was revealed at the highest level.

Thus, we call upon all our compatriots in the US to participate in this demonstration.

We also call upon the media to be present at this gathering as much as possible.
