Massacre of women and children in Kurdistan Region
11 women die in one week in Arbil, 20 children murdered by their own families in three months

A source in Rizgari hospital in Arbil told Ledwan that only within 7 days , 11 women were killed in the city of Arbil. The source said five of these women had burned themselves because of social problems and six were killed with bullets three of whom had killed themselves. According to the information obtained the phenomenon of killing, suicide and violence against women has increased considerably in the Arbil area. But the media do not publish the news or discuss the dangers of this phenomenon. The source told us: the cases of violence are even more than the media can refer to them. {End all]

[Report by Rebin Fatah: In three months 20 children are killed by their own families]
The official in charge of children's file in Kurdistan parliament Tavga Muhammad says that domestic violence is increasing in Kurdistan Region and reveals that in the last three months 20 children have been killed by their families. She said that children in Kurdistan Region are facing terrible conditions. The statistics obtained by her show that large numbers of children are used for work by their families and they are subjected to abuse at work place There is also the phenomenon of children giving up school. She also said the children are not treated correctly in Kurdistan region prisons as they are detained with adults or they are put in prison with their mothers and this will have a very bad impact on the future of the children.]
